Pretty, aren’t they? Even prettier when they were all out in the garden.
Not their best year as they rushed out too early in our February heat wave and then got rather confused as to what they were doing. But none the less pretty.
All dead now – but….all militarily upright so, I thought, would look nice and tidy for the next two months while they died down.
Until this morning…….. When the fox cubs had a play day!! So now what do I do with them? Arwen had no suggestions.

Oh dear! Nature foxy… Curiously they stay out of country garden, so much other space to gamble in I guess. Just got Mrs Grumpy next door’s p.cat who prefers our garden to hers. Tsssk. I saw a rather neat arrangement of dead daffs doubled up and tied with raffia, which is apparently meant to do them good for some reason… But talk about labour intensive.

No way to that raffia idea!!!! In previous years I have gone round cutting the grass between the standing stalks with a scissors…. OK – don’t say it. But they are so flattened by the foxes that I fear that I may just go for broke this year and chop ’em down…..
