The tight rope walker

11/28/2020 //  by Michelle//  2 Comments

But first some dog walkers – all gathered in the sun waiting for their treats – the dogs that is….

Then our tight rope walker. Well, may be a bit of an exaggeration to call her a tight rope walker as she is less than two foot off the ground on a bouncy elastic ‘rope’ – but she is doing one heck of a lot better than I could so I am impressed.

You can watch her perform briefly – and then below is a talking version for those who can’t watch her.

So, for take 2, the talking version. I should probably describe her for you. Mid to late thirties I would say, muscular but not overweight, attractive face with shoulder length curly dark brown hair, partially tied back for the purposes of the exercise. She is wearing grey tartan-ish leggings and a black top – and has very artistically waving arms!

If you cannot hear what she is saying at the end, it was that she had started learning during lockdown as a way to get out in the open. Tight rope walking is also excellent for building up your core strength – and trimming your waistline. She is hoping that it is going to help her balance for skateboarding. I think she said that they had bought an electric skate board on the strength of it.

And finally, this oak tree down at the corner of the men’s pond which is still firmly hanging on to its leaves. As you can see, another favourite corner for Hampstead fishermen.

Thanks Michelle, great to see someone so positive and indeed enjoying life is spite of the continuous stream of negative news on the radio, television and in news print. Really enjoy your blogs! Thank you.

She was great, wasn’t she, Jane. I look forward to seeing her whizzing up Highgate West Hill on her electric skateboard!
