Magnolia, Nevada and a talking walk to Hampstead Village

03/20/2021 //  by Michelle//  Leave a Comment

It is not quite there yet, but the Kenwood magnolia is poised. One more day of good sunshine and those creamy silk vase shaped petals will have burst into full flower.

Round a corner into the woods I came across a long fallen tree whose trunk had rotted and crumbled. Squatting down to look closer I was transported to a rocky Nevada desert, John Wayne galloping through the canyon on his trusty steed, pursued by a shower of flying arrows.

Or maybe camping out under Hanging Rock?

But back to safer slopes of Hampstead Heath.

Below is a talking walk to Hampstead village and back – in three chunks so do not be too intimidated! Because I was focusing on talking I am afraid that the visuals may be a little unreliable so aplogies to any of you who are watching as well as, listening.
