Very early morning

04/11/2020 //  by Michelle//  Leave a Comment

I was on the heath at 7.30 this morning – and, on my path down from the road, the sun was almost blinding and the birds were ‘going it a treat’!

(If you want to see the video you will need to click onto the blog as the email notification does not include the video.)

In the distance, London was just waking up.

However, if I thought I was going to be the only one out that early – forget it! The joggers were ahead of me.

The early morning sun had also brought out a huge bank of forget-me-nots – I don’t think I have ever seen then going mad like this in the wild.

And yet another unidentified (well, by me) yellow flower – although I am suspecting that this one is a weed.

(One of our readers suggest that the yellow flowers are Alexanders. She got them in a delivery from Abel & Cole in a Cook’s Ingredients box – but you will probably only get a delivery if you are a regular customer. They are edible although she was not that keen:
‘I can’t say that the flavour of the leaves and flowers excited us and the stalks were like a poor man’s asparagus!’)

Meanwhile, down on the boating pond the ducks were also enjoying the early morning sun.

And finally, another of those amazing trees. And yes, there are still several more to come….
