The six pine trees

10/23/2021 //  by Michelle//  Leave a Comment

Anyone who knows the heath will know the group of trees that dominate the high point that you reach having climbed the slope up from the mixed bathing pond and find yourself looking down towards the boating pond and the men’s bathing pond. I don’t think there are actually six of them and they are not all pine trees but to Winnie the Pooh enthusiasts, they are definitely The Six Pine Trees.

In Thursday’s chillily brisk sunshine I was walking across to Belsize Park and found myself beneath them. The tracery from below with the vivid blue of the sky above, was irresitible.
