A talking walk around Golders Hill Park

07/24/2021 //  by Michelle//  2 Comments

Golders Hill Park looks north running downhill parallel to the Heath Extension so it is, almost, part of Hampstead Heath. It is a ‘proper’ park, not relatively wild heath land, complete with ice creams and café, a band stand, a formal garden, a duck pond, animals – and tennis courts. And it is without doubt my favourite park because it is so complete.

I recorded a walk around it for you back in May but never actually got round to sharing it – so you will have to excuse the talk of magnolias in July!

    Hello,
Thank you so very much for these videos – I have greatly enjoyed watching them.
Back in the 1980s I lived happily on Finchley Road near the junction with Hendon Way, and of course Golders Hill was my nearest and very quickly my favourite Park. The cafe; the animals; the plantings – all so lovely.
Seeing your videos today has brought many delightful memories back for me – thank you.
    Jonathan
