These are Sue Cane’s primroses – the hillside carpeted with them.
Sue lives in a wonderful cottage on Forestry Commission land just outside Lyme Regis and her carpet of primroses will soon be replaced by a carpet of bluebells. Regular readers may remember that I spent an extremely enjoyable few days with her the winter before last hacking at her bracking and preparing her hedges.
