More on climbing trees – and small fluffy creatures…

07/23/2020 //  by Michelle//  Leave a Comment

On my way back across the heath the other day I passed the climbing tree – as I often do. It is sort of the Picadilly Circus of our part of the heath – hard to go anywhere without passing it. It was early evening and it was silhouetted rather spectacularly against the sky.

Down below, look how its twisted branches have been polished  by the hundreds of children who have climbed over them…

..and is that a little hare I see crouching at the base of the stump, his ears laid back?

And for your video of the evening, three fluffy and noisy moorhen chicks and some brown ducklings.

(If you want to see the videos you will need to click onto the blog as the email notification does not include the video.)

My daily blog now has an Instagram account! WalksonHampsteadHeath – the idea being to widen the circle of people who might enjoy a daily ramble across the heath. Please follow us and pass on the news!!

If you would like to get a notification of each new post, please ‘subscribe’ in the box on the right. It is very easy to ‘unsubscribe’ you if you get bored! You will get an email asking you to confirm your subscription but if it does not appear, check your junk box.
