No sun today…..

03/18/2020 //  by Michelle//  5 Comments

There was no sun on the heath today – although belatedly I see a little bit of blue sky. But it was mild and amazingly, after all these years, I managed to get lost! It comes of having moved up to the heights of Highgate, far from the familiar lowlands of Parliament Hill and Belsize Park!

So with no sun today, two more images from yesterday.

What are these pretty little yellow flowers? I don’t know but they are very sweet lining my path down from Hampstead lane.
11pm – Thank you everyone who has commented and pointed out that they are celandines!!

And then down to Kenwood lakeside – just a few bright yellow daffodils scattered through last years dead rushes with the mushroom-grey silken lake in the background.

Thank you for some lovely positive words and pictures. I think those flowers are celandine, ficaria verna. They come out early spring and disappear for most of the year.

Michelle – They look like Celandines which are lovely in the wild but not so lovely in a small London garden!
