Sun and lowering clouds over the garden in Hampstead Lane this afternoon.

I did nip out between the downpours – one of hailstones as big as marbles! – but only got to the borders of Kenwood. Here is the house, bleached in a brief moment of sun seen through the spreading trees.

On the way back I saw what looked like a ‘downward dog’….

…but it turned out to be half way to a handstand….

(If you want to see the video you will need to click onto the blog as the email notification does not include the video.)

..with apologies for the sudden dip at the end!

Heading rather rapidly for home before I got soaked, again, I noticed a bed of those horrid sticky weeds which had unusually pretty little pink flowers…

…until I realised that the flowers were actually those of the chestnut candelabra above them.

My daily blog now has an Instagram account! WalksonHampsteadHeath – the idea being to widen the circle of people who might enjoy a daily ramble across the heath. Please follow us and pass on the news!!

If you would like to get a notification of each new post, please ‘subscribe’ in the box on the right. It is very easy to ‘unsubscribe’ you if you get bored! You will get an email asking you to confirm your subscription but if it does not appear, check your junk box as the emails are often seen as spam.
