No, not Dorset this time – but Putney Heath where our good friend Catherine Rose has been taking pictures for us.
Once upon a time Catherine was an award-winning gluten free baker, then she ran a café, then she was one of our awards cooks and now she is an awards judge – and – runs the fresh food halls at Harrods! Or she would if Harrods was open, she was not on furlough – and was not also, rather conveniently, having a baby!!
‘Between making cookies for neighbours and practising new cooking skills,’ she says ‘we’ve done lots of walks on Putney Heath. Bump getting bigger. I feel I’m starting to waddle! But plenty of time for afternoon naps in the garden with George the cat.’
Back up north in Hampstead, on my walk yesterday, I discovered this prehistoric monster tree.

And just in case you thought I had forgotten them, one more of my architectural trees from a week ago, all of which are now covered it a pale green fuzz of breaking leaves.
