The wisteria is out, the May tree is in bloom, the azaleas are in bud, the wild garlic is in flower – and I have been buying up Columbia Road….. For more see the garden pages.

Thanks to the continuing blasts from the east (it is actually hailing as I write this!) our blossom season has been almost endlessly prolonged. This is our forsythia, still going month after it first burst into bloom. See the garden pages for more.

Hacking bracken and looking to the future
Dorset in January… Well, Dorset in January if you happen to live in the middle of a wood where the bracken and fern are rampant and where the deer decimate anything which does not have vicious thorns to protect itself.
