Thanks to the continuing blasts from the east (it is actually hailing as I write this!) our blossom season has been almost endlessly prolonged. This is our forsythia, still going month after it first burst into bloom. See the garden pages for more.

Just to alert those of you who find gardens a welcome relief from Brexit that there is now a short update on my garden pages.
Winter gardening
Gardeners seem to be divided these days between the traditionalists who like to ‘put a garden to sleep for the winter’ and those who have bought into the theory that you should just abandon a winter garden to get on with itself. Abandoning it allows wildlife to do its ‘thing’ before you get going on …
