No trees and no walks this evening, but flowers….. I have been gradually collecting images and I need to share!
So I claim first place for my flame azalea in its pot in the garden. Not quite as lush as last year (for those who remember the Lawn Road garden blog) but then it got neither pruned nor fertilised last year so I don’t think it has done too badly.
and you must admit that it is an amazing colour.
Next up, these wisteria blossoms from Nicki Clowes. I don’t think I have ever seen that rich deep lavender colour – or those extraordinary double flowers.
Next, rather more conventional – but eye catching – white wisteria outside the sadly COVID’d Flask pub in Highgate.
And over near Fitzroy Farm (of which more very soon…) the wisteria is all but finished but the roses are on their way out.
In Waterlow Park, of which more anon also, a stunning hydrangea petiolaris.
And finally, from my living room… Wild flowers from the garden –
and the most stunning white peonies which as they withered resembled nothing so much as crumpled old French silk.
