I realise that, between this and that, I have not taken you for a walk for quite a long time, so, to make up, here are three of my favourite short walks.
Walk 1. Down my ‘private path’ down past Athlone House gardens onto the heathland which runs between me in Highgate and Kenwood House. Not included in this walk yesterday but seen this afternoon – a group of naturists enjoying the late summer sun in one of the natural tree alcoves that line this path…
Walk 2 takes us past the café in the Kenwood stable block – happily now open once more – and along the broadwalk in front of the house. Round the lawn to the west of the house and then down across the broad lawns to the lake.
Walk 3. Finally, because when I emerged from the trees, the sun was dappling the grass and contrasting sharply with the deep grey clouds above, my walk back across the heathland to my path. Enjoy….

We went forest-bathing this morning and came across a field just full of wild orchids. Never seen that before. Gorgeous pink blooms.
