Waterlow Park

12/26/2020 //  by Michelle//  Leave a Comment

Boxing Day did not, alas, dawn as bright and sparkling as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day – back to damp grey clouds and the hovering threat of yet another shower.  So, because sun is so much more cheering, here are some images from my visits to Waterlow Park on the previous two days.

The sweep of the park with yesterday’s duck lake behind the trees.

One of the park’s beautiful spreading trees.

Four sentinels standing to attention,  guarding the access to Lauderdale House – of which more anon.

And then, because it was a pleasant memory of normal life, activity on the tennis courts. Not exactly Rafa and Serena – but you’ve got to start somewhere.
