Remains of the snow

01/29/2021 //  by Michelle//  2 Comments

Although there are threats of more to come, the only snow that was left on the heath yesterday afternoon were a few muddy lumps of what once were snowmen. So lest we have have no more this year, I thought it would be nice to remember how pretty it looked. This is what I saw out on my window when I woke up –

And down in the garden my wire foal, Tawny Pipit, who many of you may remember from my garden in Lawn Road, had a fluffy white blanket.

On the heath, Henry Moore’s figures were also wrapped in white shawls.

And here is that bench that we saw only a couple of days ago in the sun.

With an amazing swathe of snow laden trees behind it.

And can anyone see a masked face in this tree trunk?

I’m sure your lovely cats would appreciate some banisters to their shute!
